Why we built it

About FreshToday

FreshToday makes it easier to find the markets, farm shops and local food products that are often scattered across council pages, independent websites and changing schedules.

Our mission

FreshToday is a UK discovery directory for regular markets, independent farm shops, online farm shops and products shown on official shop websites. We want a local food search to start with useful, plain-English information: where a place is, when it usually runs and where to verify the details.

How we handle evidence

We prefer official market organisers, councils, farm shops and merchant websites. Automated research can help us find and structure possible listings, but additions and changes are reviewed conservatively before publication.

  • We link to official sources where available.
  • We distinguish recurring schedules from one-off events.
  • We avoid confident claims about delivery, stock or pricing when a source does not establish them.
  • We would rather mark a detail as unknown than invent an answer.

No directory can guarantee that a listing is current. Market dates, opening hours, locations, prices, products and ordering arrangements can change. Always check the organiser's or merchant's official information before travelling or ordering.

What FreshToday is — and is not

FreshToday helps people discover and compare information. It does not currently provide user accounts, take payments or act as the seller for products shown in the directory. Orders, delivery, refunds and product questions remain between you and the external merchant.

Listings are not endorsements. Inclusion means we found evidence relevant to the directory; it does not guarantee quality, availability or suitability.

Help us improve a listing

Local directories work best when organisers, shop owners and visitors flag real-world changes. Tell us about a closure, moved market, schedule change, incorrect location, new listing or changed ordering details.
